The College of Gerontology Nursing NZNO invites you to join its 3rd biennial conference on the Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 May 2025 at the Waipuna Hotel, Auckland. 

The conference theme is The Silver Tsunami: Surfing the Waves of Aging, which reflects the challenges and opportunities of an aging population and workforce in the health and social care sector. 

The conference aims to showcase the latest research, best practices and innovations in gerontology nursing across all settings and disciplines. The conference will also provide a platform for networking, collaboration and professional development for nurses and other health professionals who work with older adults and their whanau/family. The conference will feature keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations, on topics such as:

- Aging well and healthy aging
- Chronic conditions and multimorbidity
- Palliative and end-of-life care
- Dementia and cognitive impairment
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Cultural competence and diversity
- Leadership and management
- Education and training
- Policy and advocacy
- Quality improvement and safety

The conference is open to all members of the College of Gerontology Nursing NZNO, as well as non-members who are interested in gerontology nursing. The conference will also include a half-day session on Tuesday 20 May for kaiawhina/unregulated workforce, who play a vital role in supporting older adults in their care.
